Our apartment is located on the resort side of the Island overlooking Catseye
Beach, on the top floor of the Frangipani apartments. It's more private than the
main resort complex and a short walk (or buggy trip) away.
We've updated the apartment in the ways we'd have our own home ... probably with a touch more luxury... but essentially a quality we enjoy ourselves.
The living area is spacious and air-conditioned (or use a fan if you prefer), with a modern entertainment system (Plasma TV, DVD, & sound system with satellite TV). This opens onto a large balcony which extends across both the living area and the main bedroom, and is a great place to eat breakfast, have a BBQ, or just relax in privacy. It is set up with table & chairs, recliners, and electric barbeque for your sole use.
Our
kitchen is a real kitchen, easy and convenient when you want to eat in, and
looks beautiful with blue pearl granite bench tops. It has a dishwasher, gas
cooker, fridge, and microwave - and we include other appliances to make you
comfortable (like an electric wok and sandwich maker). The apartment has
internal laundry facilities, plus an airing rack for delicates.
Both bathrooms have been completely modernised and upgraded - with new
tiling, marble, and granite -
and adjustable height showers.
Our apartment has two bedrooms:
- the main with kingsize bed, spa, and
additional ensuite,
- the second with two singles (easily made into a kingsize).
In the main bedroom, we literally moved some walls to put in a hydrotherapy spa bath. We added a porthole into the shower so you can look out through the bedroom and balcony, and added double shower heads (with separate heat controls). Whether you're relaxing in bed, in the spa, or taking a shower - you have a beautiful view of Catseye Bay.

The balcony view extends from the island trees on the right,
through the open water across to Whitsunday Island, to the beach
and main resort on the left.
We feel as if we're on our own Island whenever we stay there.
