We love to holiday there - the Whitsundays are beautiful - and we have recently upgraded our apartment extensively so that it is now a deluxe apartment which we rent out during the year to select guests.</p> <p align="center"><img border="0" src="mainview.jpg" width="778" height="217"><br> <font color="#000080" size="2"><b>This is the view from the balcony</b></font></p> <h3> <img src="apt-out-pool.jpg" alt="The Frangipani Apartment block" align="right" hspace="6" width="266" height="200" vspace="6">About the Apartments</h3> <p>Our apartment is in Frangipani Lodge is located at the eastern end of the Resort Beach, offering privacy and tranquility. It is a top floor apartment in a low level block, and has extensive views of Catseye Bay.</p> <p align="center"><a href="rooms.htm">Click here to find out more about our apartment</a></p> <h3 align="left"><br> <img src="pool3.jpg" alt="Frangipani Pool" align="left" hspace="6" vspace="6" width="300" height="221"></h3> <h3 align="left">Private pool....</h3> <p>Frangipani Lodge has it's own private tropical pool (left). This is fenced and has beautifully developed tropical landscaped gardens. There is a large deck area for sunbathing and a covered area for a poolside casual meal or barbeque. There is also a heated spa . Frangipani pool has a cover for summer to keep the water temperature cooler. </p> <p style="clear:both "></p> <h3>Resort and a Town</h3> <p>Unlike the other islands, Hamilton Island is both a resort and a town. "Resort side" has the main resort facilities, restaurants, and activities such as snorkelling and fish-feeding; while "Harbourside" has all types of normal mainland shops - general stores, chemist etc. </p> <p align="center"><a href="activities.htm">Click here for Resort and Island Activities</a></p> <h3> <img src="sunsetsail.jpg" alt="Swimming off Whitsunday Island" align="right" hspace="2" vspace="1">The Reef and Other Islands</h3> <p>There are regular cruises to other beaches such as Whitehaven Beach (a beautiful and well known beach), snorkelling safaris to interesting nearby places, island cruises (including sunset cruises) and more.</p> <p>Beyond the islands is the Great Barrier Reef.
